Some exciting updates from the Resilient Team!
Our National Institutes of Health SBIR grant is officially awarded. This is awarded in two phases.
Phase I is $400k to meet some early milestones:
Phase II is then $3M to develop the final product and test in a hospital setting.
The even better news is that since we've been waiting for confirmation of this grant award, we've already made a bunch of progress toward our Phase I milestones!
Kevin has been working tirelessly alongside the team at Daedalus Inc. in Pittsburgh to refine our autoinjector prototype. The device now effectively deploys a needle and cannula, then drives fluid through the system. Our next steps here are:
Once these tests are complete, we'll be in an excellent position to pursue NSF Phase II funding.
We're close to having the Beta prototypes ready for testing! All components have been ordered, and we're in the stages of making minor design tweaks on some mechanical components of the case. We expect to have components in our office for assembly at the end of the month.
That's all for now! As always, please reach out if you have any thoughts or questions; we'd love to hear from you.
Thank you for your continued support,
Brad + Charlie
