July 2023 Update

More engineering progress

Latest updates

  • Welcome to Alex Shen! He has joined as a summer software engineering intern working on our cellular communications back end.
  • We are near-ready for our first feasibility study. Our custom printed circuit boards have arrived (Charlie is hard at work testing them), and we’ve finalized the mechanical design for the case to be used in our trials.

How you can help

Same as last month - our prototypes are now ready for testing at a larger scale, so if you know anybody working in state or county programs that is interested in supporting the fight against the opioid epidemic, we’d love to meet with them.

June's highlight

Progress is most fun to share with pictures, and we’ve got some exciting ones for this month:

As shown in Figure A, Kevin has made enough progress to use as the basis for a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Grant Proposal to the National Science Foundation (grant proposal to be submitted July 5th). Figure B shows Cara’s completed design for our case design to be used in our first large feasibility study. Figure C shows our custom printed circuit boards, designed by Charlie with support from Jason Petras and the team at Optimum Design Associates.

That’s all for this month. Thanks for your continued support.
